Amina Bibi, the suicide victim, reportedly doused herself with petrol and set herself alight in front of a police station.
Life of the girl, rushed to the hospital, could not be saved.
As for the case of rape, police said it had been investigated twice and investigators discovered that the victim had not been abused.
Meanwhile the court ordered police to file a written report explaining how the case was investigated and why the accused men were cleared.
Pakistani Independent Human Rights Commission appealed to the government demanding justice in relation to the rapists.
According to the group, “Her [Amina Bibi's] sacrifice has exposed the ordeals that rape victims in the country face when they try to bring their tormentors to justice”.
