
Roberto Martinez has been appointed the new manager of Everton.
The Spaniard takes over the reins from David Moyes on a four-year deal.
Former Wigan chief Martinez won the FA Cup with the Latics this season, after seeing off Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley, but was unable to prevent relegation from the Premier League.
"Everton Football Club is today delighted to confirm the appointment of Roberto Martinez as its next manager," read a statement from the club.
"The 39-year-old Spaniard joins from Wigan Athletic and has signed a four-year contract at Goodison Park. Mr Martinez will be officially unveiled as the club’s 14th permanent manager at a media conference on Wednesday afternoon."
