(CNN) -- Three car bombs and a roadside bomb
exploded in four Baghdad neighborhoods Thursday morning, killing eight
people and wounding 33 others, police said.
According to CNN tally, nearly 400 people were killed in acts of violence across the country since the beginning of May.
Iraqi security forces are
on high alert and have established more checkpoints in and around the
capital, causing massive traffic jams during rush hour.
